We are so glad that you are interested in learning more about Big Country Home Educators. Covering 10 counties and serving 25 cities, BCHE is comprised of 170 families and serves more than 400 children. We look forward to working with you in enriching your home school experience.
Whether you are new to home schooling or a seasoned veteran, BCHE can afford you many benefits that will enrich you and your children’s home schooling experience. In addition to frequently-organized educational field trips and fun special events, members of BCHE enjoy the following benefits of membership:
· A membership discount with the Home School Legal Defense Fund and the Texas Home School Coalition
· Student Photo ID opportunity (useful for drivers ed, student discounts, SAT/ACT testing)
· 10% discount at Copies Etc.
· Rent one new release, get a catalog rental free (no limit) at Box Office Video
· Discount at Abilene Educational Supply
Our activities include, but are not limited to, our annual Back to School event in August, our Annual Family Picnic with live entertainment by Christian recording artists Clay Jacobs and Gary Gibson, our float in the West Texas Fair and Rodeo Parade, The King Tut Exhibit and Dallas Zoo trip, Home School for High School Seminar in October, The Science and History Project Fair, many regular field trips, favorites like Skate and Bowl and our new Friday School. Sports activities include four competetive basketball teams, a track team, speech and debate beginning in 2008, Zoo classes, YMCA swimming, access to the BCHE Resource Center and access to the knowledge of veteran home schoolers if requested.
Membership dues are $30.00 for the year or $25.00 and 50 Box Tops and can be mailed to:
